Fossil fun at Stonerose Member weekend

NPA members found leaves, insects, fish parts, seeds, flowers, and more at Stonerose member weekend. It was a fun time on the Eocene lake at Boot Hill and perfect weather. We learned about local fish and geology at the lecture night, and enjoyed getting to know each other too.

Thank you to everyone at Stonerose for a fun time.

Above, Rex shares a cool fossil discovery. Is it Metasequoia or Sequoia?

Looking up the site at Stonerose.

Just getting started, we’re looking to see what split naturally over the winter. Hmm nothing much in that box yet!
