September Meeting

Our September Club Meeting will be on Sept. 27th. It will be from 1-3 in the downstairs classroom.

We had 23 NPA members out in the field this year for our June field season reboot. This was a big undertaking for the new Field trip team - so thank you Jim & Larry.

Between both outings we visited 14 fossil sites representing many different geological timeframes. We collected shrimp claws, crabs, clams, teredo wood, crinoids, brachiopods, horn coral, ammonites, insects of many types, plants, big and small trilobites, multiple types of Cretaceous gastropods, Blue Forest petrified wood, Eocene fossil fish, and of course, a few gorgeous rocks. At the Sept meeting we’ll recap our finds and learn a little about the fossils at those sites. If you went on the trips please send photos to us at info@northwestpaleo.org. Members who didn’t attend the NPA trips are invited to bring their summer field trip show and tell too. And we will have at least one surprise guest for dinosaur field season updates!
