Field Trip From the Cambrian to the Eocene

Our Longer NPA field trip this year spanned the eras of time with stops from the Cambrian to the Cretaceous to the Eocene and all along the eras. The group visited 12 sites and stopped in at Dinosaur National Monument too. This took us to Utah, Wyoming and Idaho where we collected stellar samples of gastropods, horn coral, ammonites, trilobites, insects, petrified wood, and fossil fish to name just a few. There were 13 of us out on the road - with some hopping on and off at different points. We will be recapping the finds at our September meeting, but here is a sneak peak.
